In March 2005, Kibsons started a meat production facility in Al Aweer which was later relocated to a state-of-the-art facility in Ajman Industrial area to cope with the increasing customer demand and business growth. The facility is one of a kind in the UAE and provides ready-made processed and portioned meat to customers. Chefs at restaurants and catering companies can start cooking the meat straight from the pack. The available product list consists of: marinated and pre-cooked meat, sausages of beef, lamb, chicken, turkey bacon, gourmet cocktail, venison, portioned steak cuts of all different types of meat, beef, veal, lamb, burger mince, burger patties, cubes, kofta, kebabs, stir fry and ready roasts. The product list is not only extensive but comprehensive including even rare game meat, Ostrich meat, South African specialty sausages and dried meat. The countries of origin of the meats vary but primarily the Lamb comes from Australia, the Beef, Veal, Game, Venison, Ostrich, Karoo Lamb and chilled meat comes from South Africa and Australia while cuts and processed meat is imported from Brazil. Kibsons imports Karan Black Angus Beef, Karoo Lamb Cuts, Gluckman Family Trading and Karan Milk-fed Veal from South Africa in both fresh and frozen form. It is a growing trend these days for restaurants to require a “one-stop shop” at competitive prices for all of their produce and meat requirements. Auditors from an independent laboratory come to Kibsons meat production facility every month to take swabs from work surfaces and take samples of meat items for testing.
