Warehousing & Storage Facilities

Kibsons International has its main cold store facilities, just off Emirates road, in the city of Ajman. It is one of the most modern, sophisticated and state-of-the-art facility in the United Arab Emirates.

The facility spans over 80,000 sq ft of land constituting a 50,000 sq ft. for cold storage. The warehouse is equipped with modern loading and unloading bays with dock shelters to prevent any breakage in the cold chain. Thus, produce remains fresh and optimum quality is maintained during all inbound and outbound processes.

The entire facility is equipped with state of the art racking system and advanced mobile communication technology. This facilitates the optimum use of a sophisticated Warehouse Management System (WMS) that has been developed specifically for Kibsons requirements.

This unique system facilitates a good control over stock allowing the warehouse team to control pilferages and stocks wastages. Each pallet in the store is maintained in a specified, software controlled bin location. Salesman can view updated stocks and even place orders from a customer location using wireless technology. At the warehouse, forklift drivers receive clear instructions on their handheld PDT devices, regarding which chiller rooms and bins, the required orders need to be picked from. Once picked, the items are placed on the temperature controlled loading bays ready to be delivered. The Kibsons fleet comprises of eighteen trucks and all logistic processes are designed to reduce delivery time while maintaining the freshness of the fruits and vegetables.

All staffs are trained for use of RFID devices, throughout the facility, for all stock related procedures including receiving, loading, stock movement as well as stock take, hence keeping a good control on stocks.
